CWF with Ace the Airhog

Several CWF wrestlers and crew recently spent a evening watching the Grand Prairie Airhogs baseball team in Grand Prairie, TX.

Along the way, they had the opportunity to meet up with Ace the Airhog who gave them a few pointers on entertaining a crowd.

No word yet on whether or not they convinced Ace to join the CWF for an upcoming show.

The latest from the CWF Warehouse

Friday, April 1st, 2011

2011 has started out with some amazing wrestling and with a lot of confusion for the CWF fans.

Angel had recently announced his retirement and Ryan Heart was out of the picture as well (for the time being). While Ryan Heart was away, his tag-team partner, Bishop must have felt a loss in direction as he began to turn on those closest to him — and the fans as well.

After several weeks away, Ryan Heart returned to see “the new” Bishop — one who had cheated his way into the position as the number one contender for the CWF Championship.

And yet, with his new found glory — Bishop backed out of the championship match, claiming he had a pulled muscle in his neck. Rather than leaving the fans in a lurch, CWF President Jesus Freak Rob Vaughn stepped in and announced that Ryan Heart, as Bishop’s tag-team partner, would step in and wrestle Jay Heisman for the CWF Championship.

Ryan Heart pulled out an amazing upset over the champion, winning the CWF Championship and bringing all three championship belts to the team of Bishop and Ryan Heart.

But an obviously furious Bishop, took the win as an insult and threw his CWF Tag Team Championship belt at the newly crowned champion before storming out of the CWF Warehouse.

The March show began with Ryan Heart making a plea to Bishop to make a mends and to continue their friendship and their winning ways. While Ryan Heart spoke in the ring, Bishop and an unknown masked wrestler came out and crushed Ryan Heart’s leg with a folding chair — seemingly snapping it in two in front of the CWF fans.

As the show continued, Colt Smith defeated Showtime Jonny Barnes by count out before he was attacked by Ron and Sean in the ring. Earl and Kelly ran in to save Colt, which setup a six-man tag match.

Colt, Kelly and Earl won the match by pinfall.

In the next match, Bishop sought to make up for his lost match against Jay Heisman — regardless of the fact that the CWF Championship Belt was no longer on the line. Bishop entered the ring with the masked wrestler, “Golgotha” but failed to dominate the former CWF Champion as Heisman fought hard and brought his F-5 finisher to the match before the lights suddenly went out, a chair shot was heard, and Golgotha was left leaving the ring, chair in hand and Bishop pinning Heisman for the 1-2-3.

With the obvious “slight of hand” taking place, Angel came out and challenged Golgotha to a match, with the stipulation that if Golgotha looses — he would be forced to unmask.

The two squared off in the ring for a solid match before Angel won by pinfall.

As Golgotha unmasked the fans were in utter shock as it was revealed that the man behind the mask was Bishop’s former tag-team partner — Ryan Heart.

The pair then went to work on Angel giving him a massive beat down despite his win over Ryan Heart.

The locker room started to clear out as wrestlers rushed to Angel’s aid but quickly joined the ranks of Angel, taking the brunt of the beat down from Bishop and Ryan Heart.

With Bishop and Ryan Heart left standing in the ring, several more wrestlers came to congratulate the team and to welcome the pair into their ranks. The tag-team champions considered their congrats before turning on these last few wrestlers and leaving the entire CWF locker room lying in the ring as the pair walked out of the warehouse proudly.

What will Ryan Heart and Bishop do next? Will the entire CWF locker room revolt against the champions? Will anyone be able to stand up against them?

Don’t miss any more of the action! Check the CWF Schedule for the next FREE show in Rockwall, Texas at the CWF Warehouse.

Is Angel coming out of retirement?

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011
Is Angel coming out of retirement?

Is Angel coming out of retirement?

In an unexpected announcement, Angel sent out the following Tweet this week:

CWF in Rockwall this Saturday night! Heisman defends the CWF title, Bishop in singles action, plus Angel vs Tim Storm. http://ow.ly/3FXoj

Angel announced his retirement via e-mail at the October 2010 CWF show in Rockwall, Texas and as of Oct. 18, 2010 Angel has not made any contact with anyone in the CWF family.

So announcing a match between himself and Tim Storms definitely comes as a surprise to everyone.

It appears Angel may be ready to come out of hiding as he told christianwrestling.com:

“Although I planned to take extended time off to rest my body after 11 years of being in the ring, I felt like I needed to come back sooner. My body feels fine and I couldn’t pass up the chance to wrestle Tim Storm again. Also, Bishop’s behavior has been a bit erratic lately and Ryan Heart won’t be there on Saturday to keep him in line. I just want to be there for Talladega Xtreme. I appreciate Rob letting me take a little time and I appreciate him letting me come back early. Let’s roll.”

And as Angel mentioned, Bishop has been a little bit unpredictable in recent months so CWF fans are wondering which Bishop they will get this month; the loyal partner of Ryan Heart or the man who still swears that he never lost the CWF title back in 2007?

Angel calls it quits!

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Angel, Albert

After an amazing 10 year career with the CWF — capped off with a stunning tag match with AJ Styles last month — Angel announced via e-mail Saturday night that he was calling it quits.

The Special Appointed Commissioner for the evening, Albert, read the e-mail to the CWF fans at the CWF Warehouse in Rockwall on Saturday night.

The e-mail highlighted a number of the special moments Angel has had with the CWF in his 10 year career and suggested that after teaming up with AJ Styles for a tag match in September, Angel saw the CWF as holding him back from a more illustrious career at the top of the wrestling business.

We’ve reached out to Angel for further comment, as well as for a copy of the e-mail in question but have not heard back from him as of this writing.

We are ever grateful for Angel and his contribution to the CWF and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
